As you likely know already, a favorable verdict will always be appealed by the insurance company to see if they can take it away.  It doesn't really matter what the truth or the justice of the verdict is or how it affects a young blind girl's life. That is simply the nature of insurance companies.  For those interested in the judgment we obtained for a young girl in El Paso Texas due to her blindness caused by Jorge Llamas-Soforo, MD and Pediatrix's failures to assure her eyes were screen properly and she was treated timely for retinopathy of prematurity, we have posted the Appellee's Brief we filed a few days ago in the Dallas Court of Appeals. It is available by clicking here.
